Grasmere is a play about love, loss, and passions.

Directed By Tracy Callahan

William Wordsworth and his sister, Dorothy, lived in the lovely seclusion of the Lake District for years until one day, Mary Hutchinson arrived, and their lives changed forever. Grasmere is not a fact; it is a meditation on history, unfolding over the course of one year. Samuel Coleridge adds danger as the visiting friend, who is trying desperately to finish his new epic poem about a wedding guest and an albatross. The four learn about each other as their lives begin to unravel – Samuel’s addictions take hold, William falls in love with Mary, and Dorothy finds herself experiencing emotions she can’t begin to describe.

Love. Loss. Passions.
